 The Dark Side of the Internet
Over 650 parents attended our Community Night event on this important topic! Thanks to all who helped make this such a success. Agent Szatkowski said it was "a world's record" for one of his presentations -- and he's presented to over 80,000 people over the years!

We heard many positive responses about the information that Special Agent Szatkowski provided. Important points he brought up include ...
1) Keep internet capable computers in family-living areas, NOT bedrooms.
2) Teach your children about basic internet safety rules included posting personal information, pictures, and so on.
3) Parents setting clear rules on use of computers, internet, cell phones, digital cameras, gaming systems.
4) Installing filtering software on home computers.
5) Knowing who your children are chatting or instant messaging with.
As a follow-up to his presentation to the adults, he was also brought back in the fall of 2007 to present his message to high school and middle school students.
